Witness the January 2025 Planetary Alignment: A Rare Celestial Event

This January, witness Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in the night sky together.

The alignment happens because all planets orbit along the ecliptic plane—forming a stunning arc in the sky.

Look up at 7:00 PM UTC. Mars in the east, Jupiter near Orion, and Venus & Saturn in the southwest.

January 18: Venus and Saturn appear closest—creating a dazzling display. Watch them drift apart in the evenings after.

Use a telescope to spot Uranus near Jupiter and Neptune close to Venus. A rare challenge for stargazers!

By January 21, the Moon wanes, providing darker skies for better visibility of the planetary alignment.

Tip: Head to a dark-sky location, dress warmly, and bring binoculars or a telescope for the best experience.
