September 2023 is a great month for stargazing, with a number of exciting astronomical events taking place.

On September 9, the September ε-Perseids meteor shower will peak, with up to 50 meteors per hour possible.

On September 13, the Moon will pass close to Mars, and on September 15, there will be a new Moon.

On September 16, the Moon will pass close to Spica, and on September 18, Venus will reach its greatest brightness.

On September 19, Neptune will be at opposition, and on September 21, the Moon will pass close to Antares.
